Key Takeaways:

  • Although corporate life may seem to be more stable, you lose out on a lot. For example, you cannot be 100% yourself and you may work really hard on things then your work ends up ignored or you are told that they chose to go in another direction.

  • Starting a business is risky, but thinking your way into a perfect business is a trap. The expectation of perfection or destruction will weigh you down. Sometimes, thinking too far into the future isn’t the way to go. Instead, take small steps and dabble your foot in trying new things. Putting something in motion is key.

  • Let go of trying to do things ‘the way they’re supposed to be’, and try doing things in a way that feels right to YOU.

  • Confidence is not necessarily something you are born with. It is a skill that you can hone by taking action. When you have low confidence, think about someone who usually compliments you and tell yourself: “Why don’t I just act like the person they think I am”.
